New Serial to be Posted Here – "A Loss of Innocence"

In trying to decide how to best use the blog format, I’ve decided to post a serialized novella that I have tentatively titled “A Loss of Innoncence.”  Based on reader feedback, I’ll try to determine how the format works and whether or not its a good way of delivering content.

“A Loss of Innocence” is a near future story of a young Marine fighting for an Earth besieged by an alien threat.  Wrestling with the concepts of duty, honor, family, and the morality of warfare, Private Collins gradually becomes aware of the cost of placing one’s self in the line of fire for a higher cause.  Less of an action story and more of a exploration of the psychology and sociology of soldiers in combat, “A Loss of Innocence” is supposed to make us ask tough questions about ourselves.
