Whew!
I finally finished Battlestar Galactica, although I had symphony tickets on Friday night, so I missed the season premiere of Season Three. Thank the “gods” for iTunes.
Two more sections of A Loss of Innocence are nearing completion. I’ll post one of them tomorrow night, and the other either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on what else I find that catches my eye.
Alchemist is richer by two entire chapters, which brings the word total for that one above 100,000 words. A good size novel is around 200,000 words, and if you consider that I barely have the plot and characters established, then I’m on track for a typical over-sized epic fantasy work.
Working with information courtesy of Brian Bentley, I’ve been experimenting with a screen writing program called Celtx to see if I can produce something approaching a decent screen/teleplay. Some of my work would be fairly easily translatable to this medium, so I’ll have to post the results of my experimentation here. Look for that by the end of the week, perhaps.
I’m still in mourning over the fact that my team choked earlier this afternoon, so don’t even talk to me about Longhorns, burnt orange, or football right now. Every single one of you who are Texas fans can die in a fire.
