The Feline Reaper

This is slightly old news, but I just came across the story of Oscar the Cat. Apparently, this cat is able to sense patients in a nursing home who are about to die. He will go and snuggle with them during their final hours.

I think this gives me the creeps.

On the flip side, families seem to be comforted by the cat. They are serene in the knowledge that their loved ones will not pass on alone; in several cases, the presence of the cat has allowed families to rush to the hospital in time to say a final goodbye. I suppose that this is all that matters in the end.

The next time a cat snuggles with me I’m going to be very wary.
