No, I’m not talking about the daily bargin site.
I’m talking about the expression of joy that erupts from many gamers when they achieve great things during the course of a video game. The word has received the Merriam-Webster (of Webster’s Dictionary fame) Word of the Year award, beating out such worthy contenders as the verb form of “facebook,” the clever compound word “blamestorm,” and older, more erudite words such as “quixotic.” (Bonus points if someone can tell me the root of “quixotic” in the comments section in a manner that leads me to believe you didn’t consult Wikipedia.)
This may be the death knell of the English language. l33t speak has pwnt the dictionary.
