Has anyone else noticed that Windows releases are like Star Trek films in that every other one sucks? Maybe you could put Vista on your mac, where it will run faster and XP on your new rig, to get the extra umph out of your games. Jes pickin' chickin'. Nice specs. Happy Holidays.

I'm predicting that you'll have few to no problems with Vista. I myself have been running Vista Ultimate since April and after turning off UAC, and the prefetch thing that continuously scans my HDD, I like it quite a bit. Sure I could have a 10% jump in game speed if I went back to XP but really what's the trade off? Vists SP1 is coming out soon, and it will only continue to get better as Microsoft pushes it even harder (you seriously think it will die after Microsoft spent tons of cash making it?).

I will say that my machine was using 42% of the 3768MB of RAM sitting idle this morning, but really that should only be for the Aero desktop interface, which goes away when gaming. (I have 4GB of RAM but the OS is 32 bit which can't address all of the memory).
