I'm off to Boston to hork my fiction

I’ll be at Boskone again this year. Last year was a blast. I’m hoping that this year is equally fun (and hopefully profitable).

We have an interview with Lee Stephen, which is scheduled to go up tomorrow morning while I’m travelling. I’ll be reporting on the events of the conference on Saturday (and hopefully my author sitings), and then Kate will do some posting for me on Sunday regarding the back story to Shannon O’Leary in the Loss of Innocence universe.

I’m off! Wish me luck!

    Pete,
Saw your writeup on “A Loss of Innocence”. I’m a big mil scifi fan, has it been published yet? Would like to buy it.
I have Lee Stephens (although I have some questions about Lee’s military rank structure and military tactics) and Jack Campbell’s books…enjoyed much, waiting for sequels. interviews were great.

Also, what do you think of Marshall S. Thomas’s soldier of the legion stories?

    1. Soldier of the Legion
    2. The Black March
    3. Slave of the Legion (to be published soon)

Another favorite of mine is Tom Kratman (usually associated the John ringo in the Posleen series). He is writing an excellene series(Legion El Cid) which I also find fascinating:

    1, Desert of Peace
    2. Carnifax
    3. Caliphate

Gotta run, btw, your web site outstanding!

    Bill,

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I’ve had a few nibbles on Loss, but I’m in the throes of submit, get rejected, modify, then submit again. I have a serialized version of the story that is two revisions old here.

I haven’t had the opportunity to read Thomas’ Soldier of the Legion stories, but since our tastes seem to be very similar, I’ll add him to my list. Thanks for the recommendation.

Kratman is a new favorite of mine. I’ve read A Desert Called Peace, but I found that Carnifex was out of stock in my local (DFW area) bookstores. Amazon was even out of stock for a short period, so I moved on to other series. I keep meaning to come back and see what happens. In my opinion, no one has gotten inside the details of planning a major military operation better than Kratman. While that may be boring to some, there is a part of me that glories in seeing a well-run organization.

Thanks again for stopping by! We’ll hope to see you on a regular basis.
