I want to say I am sorry too. I just lost my angel Clara Bella 7 years old, she was a white boxer and I loved her with all my heart. Her problem was a neighbor had a puppy and it had fleas and worms, and then me (being paranoid) when picking up her poo I saw some worms (just in one part of poo) not in any of the other from the yard. I took it immediately to vet and he said she had a "mild" case of worms. He put her on Drontal Plus, 4 tablets 68 mg 9:30 a.m. and by 5:30 she was vomiting so bad she couldnt stop and it smelled like bile. I immediately called the emergency vet however, she said, oh that is normal (it wasn't), and she got worse, by that Tuesday she was bad, could hardly stand, didnt want to eat or drink and had very labored breathing. He put her on "more" meds Lasix, Bactrim and Previcox, and it made her "vomit" more, she died June 1st. He said that she had "lung cancer" which she didn't. I took her x-rays and info to a new vet and the vet that prescribed all this was "wrong" if only he would have listened to me when I said Drontal Plus made her vomit and the smell of it, my Bella would still be alive. The little dots on the x-rays were "fat deposits" he said she had hypertension. The new vet said she had vomited so much that any food or water was be ascerbated back into her esophagus and could possibly have caused pneumonia. There was no reason for her to die, but I feel as though I killed her. I will never forgive myself.

Pete and Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss. That was a sweet and moving story. We lost our little Yorkies a year apart. I had to have each one put to sleep due to illnesses. It is sad. Your new puppy looks sweet.

Love,

Sue
